What is Shri Yantra?
In Hinduism, one of the various ways to connect with the higher One (Isvara) is also through the mode of tool(yantra), this worship of God is known as Yantra Puja. She is worshiped through this tool. Thus Sri Yantra Devi is the abode of Bhagwati Mahatripura Devi and her chariot. In other words, the goddess has a subtle body and symbol form. In this yantra, all the deities of the universe reside under the goddess Mahatripur.
What is the importance of Shri Yantra in today’s life?
Shri Yantra liberates humans from all the problems that arise from materialism and its ill effects in the form of depression and greed for money. Form & Structure
By looking at Shri Yantra, various circles are made inside it, which have a point in the center. There are nine triangles around it, five are made towards the top and four at the bottom. Structerwise Shri Dhyana Peetham is the World Biggest Sri Yantra, situated at Shree Kalyanika Himalaya Dev Sthanam Ashram, Almora in India, which weighed around 1600 KG.
People have the misconception that Shri Yantra is only one. The reality is that there are different types of Sri Yantra in which instruments made on Bhojpatra, Triloh, Tamrapatra, Silver and Gold metal are considered prominent. Apart from these, the Sri Yantra is also made of crystal and is considered very sacred and powerful.
