Kundalini Yoga is an ancient form of yoga developed by the great Indian saints & sage. It is also known as Laya Yoga. Kundalini Yoga is all about the focus on the awakening of the Kundalini (Spiritual centers in the body ) through regular practice of meditation, pranayama, chanting the mantra and various asana of Yoga.
Self Healing Meditation Asana
For this asana, you need an object you can take any object that you can hold in your hand like a fruit e.g. apple, guava etc.
- Sit in a relaxed pose, straight back with your arms stretched straight out in front.
- Put your object in your right hand (male) or left hand (Female) With the opposite hand over the object by keeping your hand above 4inches to 6 inches on the Guava/Apple.
- Keep your arms straight with no bend in the elbow.
- Now, slowly close your eyes, go inward in deep consciousness and concentrate.
- Create a mental connection between navel & Guava/Apple so that you can gather the energy of the navel and project it into the object. This is for self-healing, the Prana the Life force energy which lives in the Naval point of the body.
- There will be lots of mental obstructions in doing this asana, your mind will not able to concentrate, the body will not support and participate in removing the all mental obstructions you can chant the mantras.
- After 5 Minutes hold your fruit between both hands and place it at your navel point. Now, Take a deep breath, as long as possible and exhale it slowly. Now do this breathing for 2 min. in this position.
- With the fruit still at the navel point, take a deep breath, hold the breath as long as possible, exhale long and deep and hold the breath out as long as possible. Do this rhythmic breathing for next 5 min.
- In the end, inhale and press the fruit to your navel and press your tongue against your upper palate Exhale and eat your fruit.
- To maximize the self-healing do this for the 2-3 months
- Do this asana as your breakfast, eat only fruit and a glass of milk without any sugar or honey.
